In 1986, Rick and Anna Lee Woods, with a partner, started a waterproofing company called Basement Dewatering Systems Metro-East, Inc. In 1988, Rick bought out his partner and the name was changed to Woods Waterproofing, Inc. The company name was then changed to Woods Basement Systems, Inc. in 1998 for advertising reasons.

Our Federal Tax ID number has never changed, so we have always maintained our corporate identity and all contractual warranties. There are approximately 400 Basement Systems dealers in three countries. Rick’s wife Anna Lee, son Wayne, daughter Susan, son-in-law Tim and cousin Chris Blickenstaff are all management-level employees of Woods Basement Systems, with his grandkids: Alli, Drew, Nick, Jack, twins Sophie & Lily, Rachel, Mary, and Sarah being the “real” bosses.

In 2005 we became the world’s largest Basement Systems dealer – topping those 300+ dealers in seven countries!
